Rose Parade program seller Steve Basil

MKPLA senior man Steve Basil sells Rose Parade programs in a heavily trafficked crossroads of the floats viewing area.

Thousands of people gathered in Pasadena to view the floats, which were on display for three days immediately following the Pasadena pageant.

I was part of this year’s team of program sellers for The ManKind Project Los Angeles (http://www.mkpla.org). This is our second annual Hector Roybal Memorial Rose Parade FUNdraiser Iniative, which raises money so that we can fund scholarships to our New Warrior Training Adventure weekends put on by The ManKind Project. Please go to our website (http://www.mkpla.org) to find out more about our incredible organization and the work we do.

The first photo in this set, which features me, is the lead photo of a nice slideshow that LA Times shooter Robert Gauthier did that day at the floats viewing area:

To see more of the Times’ coverage of the Parade, go here: http://www.latimes.com/la-me-2009rose_parade-pg,0,2299319.photogallery?1

I’ll be posting some of my own photos of the Parade and the Rose Bowl, which I also attended, in the next few days.

This will be part of the 2009 ManKind Project LA Rose Parade FUNdraiser set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/doctor_noe/3167298229/in/set-72157612112207487/
